영화 '인턴'대본을 통한 영어공부하기 13번째입니다.

진도는 '유튜브'의 같영구 채널의 인턴쉐도잉을 따라 진행했습니다.

Ben : Well, it kind of depends on what you did. 네가 한 일에 따라 달라지지

 

Jay: Well, first of all, nothing on purpose.

 

Jay : We were going out for a minute. I thought she was cool, I liked her. But then, I sort of accidently……. Slept with her roommate.

잠시 같이 외출했죠. 저는 그녀가 엄청 마음에 들었어요. 그런데 일련의 사고랄까.. 베키의 룸메이트와 잠자리를 가지게 되었어요.

▶Sort of : 다소 뭐랄까 (적절한 말이 생각나지 않을 때)

 

Ben : That doesn’t help. 좋게 들리지 않네/그거 소용 없어요

 

Jay : I didn’t know she was her roommate. I met her out,how would I know that?

난 그녀가 룸메이트인 줄도 몰랐어요. 밖에서 만났거든요

 

Jay : Hey, Nikki

 

Jay : Ben, tell me. I don’t know this stuff. You’re older. You’ve been through a lot. I mean,, I mean,,, You have a lot of experience. How long do you think she’ll be mad at me for?

벤, 말해줘요. 어떻게 해야 될지 모르겠어요. 저보다 오래 사셨잖아요. 제 말은 저보다 삶의 경험이 많으시잖아요. 그녀가 얼마나 저에게 화가 나있을까요?

 

David : Jay, I have zero experience with woman and I can tell you, there’s no coming back from that one.

제이, 난 모태솔로지만 말해줄 순있어. 그런 일이 있었다면 절대 화 안풀릴거야

 

Ben :  I mean, I assume you talked to her, apologized, told herhow much she means you.

그러면, 그녀에게 얘기해서 사과하고 얼마나 화났는지 알았다고 생각하고 말할게

 

Jay : Well, you know…… 어, 그게요...

 

Ben : You didn’t talk to her? What did you do, send her a tweet?

그녀에게 말 안했어? 그럼 뭘한거야? 트윗이라도 날렸어?

 

Jay : No, of course not. I, like, texted her a billion times. She didn’t answer, so then I emailed her. But it was like, a nice email. It was a long one, well thought out.Subject I wrote, “I’m soooory” with like a ton of o’s with a sad emoticonwhere he's crying at the side of its little cheek.I should probably actually just talk to her, huh?

아뇨, 당연히 아니죠. 문자를 수십번 날렸어요. 답장이 없었고, 그래서 이메일을 보냈죠. 진심이 담긴 장문의 이메일이었는요. 제목엔 미안해라고 적었죠. 물결표시도 많이 넣어서 "미아아~~안해" 이렇게요.

아주 슬픈 표정의 이모티콘도 넣구요. 그녀에게 가서 말로 해야겠죠?

Ben : Obviously. 물론이지 Can’t imagine it would hurt…(해를 입을 거라는 것은 상상할 수 없다)

손해볼꺼 없지, 밑져야 본전이지

Jules : Oh did yesterday’s numbers come in? 어제 매출 들어왔어?

 

Cameron : Yeah

 

We could do it that way too. 이건 이렇게도 할 수 있지

Jules : I noticed my intern sure keeps busy. 새 인턴은 항상 바쁘네

I am sure tired./ Do you want to come? “I sure do”

 

Cameron : Mr. congeniality. He’s a very big hit. Everybody loves him. Ok. Do not look at that desk.

It’s like the office junk drawer. It’s just gonna drive you crazy.

완전 인기남이셔. 모두들 좋아하지. 저긴 쳐다보지도 마. 사무실의 쓰레기장 같은거지. 그냥 널 미치게 할거야.
