Jules : I thought he wascondescending, sexist know-it-all.Who did not seem to get what we do at all.

Jules : And honestly, I think he would run our business in a completely inorganic way that would lose us all the customers wehave killed ourselves to get. Oh, and I think that he would replace us as soon as he got the chance. The man never blinked. An Olympian non-blinker.

▶help out: 꼭 도움이 필요한 때, 무슨 어려움에서 구제하다, 끌어내다 (회화체에서 많이 쓰임, 어떤 상황이 완료된 것, 결과론적인 뉘앙스, help 중 아무거나 쓸 수 있지만…일상생활에서는 더욱 help out를 씀)
Can you help me out? : 나 좀 도와줄 수 있어? / I helped him out : 나는 그를 도왔다.
Ben : You're very welcome. 별 말씀을 요.
Jules : It's okay. I really won't bite. 괜찮아요, 화 안낼께요(말씀 하세요)
▶something won’t bite : used to say that someone does not need to be frightened of a particular person or thing:
Ben : You started this business all by yourself a year and a half ago, and now you havea staff of 220 people. Remember who did that.
1년 반전에 혼자 창업해서 직원 220명의 큰 회사로 키워냈죠. 그게 누가 한 일인지 잊지 마세요.
Jules : Who? Um, thank you. 누가했죠? 감사해요
Ben : And I hate to say it, but try to get some sleep. 이런 말 하고 싶진 않지만 잠을 좀 넉넉히 주무세요

Ben : Over the hump. 또 한 고비 넘겼군
▶hump :낙타의 혹, 즉 넘어야 할 고비를 비유적으로 표현
The president election is over, over the hump : 대선이 끝났네요, 한고비 넘겼네요
Jules : So, how was your day? 오늘 어떘어?
Daughter : Kind of okay. But you know what? Maddie said she didn't want to be my friend anymore.
괜찮아. 근데 그거 알아? 메디가 더 이상 내 친구 하기 싫대
Jules : Oh. You know what? I don't thinkshe meant it. She'd miss you too much.

Daughter : I'm starting to think that Maddie is bipolar.We go through this every other day.
